The Black Country becomes an official, world-famous UNESCO Global Geopark
It was announced today that the Black Country has been accepted as an official UNESCO Global Geopark, after the Black Country Geopark project group submitted its final stage of the application to UNESCO last year.
Following today's announcement by John Lewis that eight of their stores, including the Birmingham Grand Central branch, are to permanently close, Neil Rami, Chief Executive of the West Midlands Growth Company, said:
