In 2023–24, the West Midlands became the UK’s leading regional destination for foreign investment outside of London and the South East, attracting more investment projects than Scotland.
This high level of interest is testament to the confidence investors have in the region's future and as a gateway for companies looking to enter the UK market. During the 2023–24 financial year, the West Midlands Growth Company helped land 46 FDI projects, generating 2,900 jobs in the region.
