Top West Midlands representatives will showcase the region’s innovation credentials at Europe’s biggest real estate event in Germany this week.

The region will form part of the UK Cities & Partners Pavilion (UKCAP) at Expo Real, joining London, Manchester, Newcastle and Bristol & Bath to deliver a compelling inward investment narrative around the scale of opportunity in the UK.

Expo Real is widely considered to be the most significant trade fair for real estate and investment in Europe, and Taking place between 4-7 October 2023 in Munich, the event is expected to attract around 40,000 participants from 73 countries and will provide the opportunity for West Midlands representatives to meet with major global investors and property developers.

The West Midlands has emerged as a hub for innovation in recent years, with its growing economy, competitive talent pool and expanding tech ecosystem leading to the region being named the UK’s fastest growing tech sector in 2021.

The conference will give leading regional figures the chance to pitch an exciting portfolio of innovation-led investment opportunities across the West Midlands, with delegates unveiling a new digital investment prospectus detailing some of the region’s most significant developments – from university-backed joint ventures, to large-scale, regenerative schemes.

Alongside key information about the West Midlands’ economic performance, technical specifications for each development site and informative films from industry figures, the platform will allow users to connect with regional representatives during the conference. 

Led by the West Midlands Growth Company, the delegation will comprise leading regional figures from the public, private and academic sectors, and includes the Mayor of the West Midlands, as well as representatives from Aston University and developers Bruntwood and Muse.
