Who are the West Midlands Growth Company?
The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) is the West Midlands region's investment promotion and destination management organisation.
We're backed by the West Midlands Combined Authority, its seven constituent metropolitan authorities, and five of the region’s universities. We bring together the strengths of the public, private and academic sectors to deliver sustainable, inclusive growth for the West Midlands.
Our mission is to attract investment, businesses and visitors to the West Midlands to grow the economy, create jobs and deliver a better quality of life for those who live and work here.

What We've Delivered for Birmingham and the West Midlands
By attracting investment, businesses and visitors to the West Midlands to grow the economy, we help create jobs and deliver a better quality of life for those who live and work here.
From April 2023 to May 2024, we've seen more than 6,500 jobs created, 80 overseas companies expand or set up here, and landed eight major business conferences and six major sporting events.
