Visitors to the estate will be able to relax in the sun while taking in musical performances including chilled out DJ sets, jazz music, gospel choirs and ukulele pop songs or be entertained by some of Birmingham’s finest artistic talent by watching dance and theatre performances from local groups, including samba music group Someone at the Door and performances from the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and Freeman Dance.

One of Brindleyplace’s favourite cultural attractions, the IKON Gallery, will also be hosting activities as part of its annual four day Migrant Festival and performances will be scheduled throughout the summer at lunchtimes, afternoon and evenings on weekdays and weekends.

The events will all be hosted at Brindleyplace’s new pop-up garden, which will be installed on 21 June and remain in place throughout the summer months. The garden will include outdoor seating and a staging area for performances, meaning that families and friends can get together and enjoy an array of pop-up performances. The new space will also have its own Brindley touch by featuring lush topiary trees from Brindleyplace florist, Ethos.

A range of Brindleyplace favourites including Bank Restaurant, Nuvo and Cosy Club will also be popping into the square throughout the summer, offering everything from cocktail samples to exclusive deals and discounts.

Stacey Muir, Marketing and Events Executive at Brindleyplace, said:

“We’ve missed being able to welcome people to Brindleyplace  and wanted to provide a series of events celebrating everything Brindleyplace has to offer to welcome our occupiers and visitors back. Brindleyplace is widely regarded as one of the safest, cleanest green spaces in the city and we hope this will be a great way to welcome people back to Brindley and indeed Birmingham.

“Brindleyplace benefits from a real sense of community, and we wanted to provide an exciting series of events from local community groups and organisations in our pop-up garden, a space which is a great spot for getting together with friends and family to indulge in some brilliant entertainment in the open air."

A full schedule of events can be found on Brindleyplace’s website, and via its social media channels.
