The West Midlands will use MIPIM 2026 to position £20bn of delivery-ready regeneration and innovation-led opportunities to global capital, demonstrating how coordinated public and private leadership is translating long-term strategy into active delivery.
MIPIM will take place from 9th to 13th March, providing a focused platform to showcase the region’s pipeline to the 20,000+ investors and developers who will attend.
As we move further into 2026, we are seeing public-private models becoming embedded as the delivery framework of choice, unlocking sites that would otherwise remain stalled. This is driven by the region prioritising regeneration-led growth and activity within the Investment Zone.
As major projects across the West Midlands move from strategy into construction, MIPIM provides a timely opportunity to present a portfolio now firmly in delivery.
This new phase of regeneration-led growth is seeing long-term strategies breaking ground across our towns and cities. Sites are moving from planning to construction, anchor occupiers such as the BBC are committing to the region, and structured public-private partnerships are unlocking complex developments with reduced risk.
This momentum, acceleration in delivery, and collaboration across the real estate market are strengthening the region’s investment case and reinforcing its position as one of the UK’s most investable regions.

The West Midlands delegation to MIPIM will be led by Joanne Roney CBE, Managing Director of Birmingham City Council, and Tim Johnson, Chief Executive of City of Wolverhampton Council.
They will be joined by leading advisory, development and capital markets partners from across the region’s real estate and built environment sector, reflecting a coordinated, place-led approach to investment and delivery.
While there, the delegation will launch Birmingham’s new Central Heart district. The prospectus sets out a significant pipeline of the city’s most prime development land, bringing forward high-value residential and Grade A commercial space ahead of the arrival of high-speed rail connectivity to London.
"As the leading international event in the real estate calendar, MIPIM presents the ideal platform for us to profile the West Midlands’ exciting pipeline of projects – from regeneration projects breathing new life into our towns and cities, to ambitious residential housing schemes and pioneering infrastructure projects.
"I’m looking forward to joining the leading players in the global property industry to shout about the momentum we’re seeing across the West Midlands and everything that sets our region apart in the eyes of investors."
– Neil Rami, Chief Executive, West Midlands Growth Company
