Film Production Services Office – Operations Support

The Operations Support will play a vital role in the successful operation of a new film production services office located in the West Midlands. You will provide administrative and operational support to the Sector Lead and wider team, coordinating day-to-day liaison with local authorities and agencies in planning and facilitating in-region production. You will help to coordinate the smooth running of the service. This is a key position that supports the day-to-day needs of filming facilitation, internal systems, event coordination, data tracking, and stakeholder liaison.

What to expect in this role

• To support and facilitate existing and new production activity, providing a concierge-style end-to-end service that supports productions with the full filming process, including filming permits and location and crew scouting.
• To boost the visibility and reputation of the West Midlands’ screen sector nationally and globally through promotion and marketing, using tools such as event networking and familiarisation trips, and working with Local Authorities to develop a region-wide location database.
• To support on the attracting and retaining of production companies and activity in the region, working with industry on wider pipeline development.
• To help facilitate investment into the region's production infrastructure, assisting development partners who are looking to invest in studio facilities and creative hubs across the region.
• To promote the development of regional talent into the industry by working with partners to build stronger connections between education, training programs, and industry opportunities.
• To foster partnerships and collaboration across the creative industries, linking screen production with technology, gaming, and digital sectors, supporting the industry with AI adaptation and becoming more sustainable.
