The Film Production Service Office Executive will play a vital role in the successful operation of the West Midlands’ new operation to provide front-line support to film, TV, and digital content productions.

Working closely with the Sector Lead and key partners across the West Midlands Combined Authority area, the Executive will be responsible for providing front-line support to film, TV, and digital content productions. This includes managing filming enquiries, facilitating permits and logistics, maintaining up-to-date industry databases, and contributing to the growth of the West Midlands as a world-class filming destination.

What to expect in this role

• To support and facilitate existing and new production activity, providing a concierge-style end-to-end service that supports productions with the full filming process, including filming permits and location and crew scouting.
• To boost the visibility and reputation of the West Midlands’ screen sector nationally and globally through promotion and marketing, using tools such as event networking and familiarisation trips, and working with Local Authorities to develop a region-wide location database.
• To support the attraction and retention of production companies and activity in the region, working with industry on wider pipeline development.
• To help facilitate investment into the region's production infrastructure, assisting development partners who are looking to invest in studio facilities and creative hubs across the region.
• To promote the development of regional talent into the industry by working with partners to build stronger connections between education, training programs, and industry opportunities.
• To foster partnerships and collaboration across the creative industries, linking screen production with technology, gaming, and digital sectors, supporting the industry with AI adaptation and becoming more sustainable.
