“Hosting the British Esports Cup alongside the RLCS 2025 Major Birmingham in Solihull is a very exciting prospect for our borough and builds on our previous successes in the world of esports. It’s great to see such opportunities for aspiring players across the UK to showcase their talent on a global stage alongside professional esports athletes.” said Councillor Ian Courts, Leader of Solihull Council and Lead Member for Business and the Economy. “Alongside offering opportunities for grassroots esports, the accompanying business esports summit, West Midlands Unwrapped, will be a chance for key business and industry leaders to network and identify future growth opportunities in this fast-growing sector.

“With thousands of fans expected to attend the RLCS 2025 Major Birmingham from across the world, the economic benefit to the hospitality and visitor economy in the region is unrivalled, putting our borough on the world stage.” People visiting the event can book centrally located hotel rooms via Visit Birmingham, and are encouraged to check out the Visit Solihull website for information on where to eat, drink and stay in the area.
