West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) are here to deliver an ambitious plan to drive inclusive economic growth in the West Midlands and build a more prosperous and better connected West Midlands which is fairer, greener and healthier

Made up of 18 local authorities, three Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and chaired by the Mayor of the West Midlands, WMCA is working together to move powers from Whitehall to the West Midlands and its locally elected politicians, who know this region best.

WMCA is committed to delivering an ambitious target of 215,000 new homes in the West Midlands by 2031. We are leading nationally in trailblazing brownfield regeneration to unlock the region’s most challenging sites and providing much needed housing and wider benefits. We’re also working closely with public and private sector partners to secure new funding for the region. As thought leaders, WMCA advocate, champion and broker to lead nationally on policy innovation areas, including affordable housing, modular construction and zero carbon.

This is a place determined to make its mark, and it is succeeding. The West Midlands’ magnificent past drives the region’s future. Its towns and cities are built on industry and are now perfectly positioned to re-invent the industrial revolution for the future. This is a place built on social connection, collaboration and progress.

Key priorities include housing and regeneration; transport; productivity and skills; industrial strategy; finance and investment and public service reform.

We are a region on the move. Our time is now.
