The West Midlands Growth Company has received funding from the England European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government and the Department for Work and Pensions (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) are the Managing Authorities for European Regional Development Fund and European Social Fund funding through the Growth Programme, funds established by the European Union to help local areas stimulate their economic development.


The objective of the European Social Fund Technical Assistance Programme (ESFTA) is to support the efficient and compliant management and implementation of the European Social Fund Programme (ESFP), as well as support robust governance, accountability and partnership engagement within the programme. This ensures that ESFTA performance targets are achievable and that the delivery of European Social Fund Programmes complies with applicable law.


The GBSLEP Technical Assistance Project, which brings together a range of partners with relevant sector and thematic expertise to deliver a coherent package of technical assistance provision to support the ESF elements of the ESIF strategy and GBSLEP Strategy for Growth. The project purpose and design matches the objective of technical assistance, namely to support efficient and compliant management and implementation of ESIF funds.  The West Midlands Growth Company has been awarded the contract to promote and publicise funds in Greater Birmingham and Solihull area.
