West Midlands Growth Company has received funding from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) is the Managing Authority for European Regional Development Fund.

ERDF is a fund allocated by the European Union which aims to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the EU by correcting imbalances between its regions. Business Birmingham has been awarded a contract to deliver a programme addressing one of the key priority areas – support for foreign owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) expanding to the Greater Birmingham area.

Business Birmingham acts as a single point of contact for clients, bringing together a project team from relevant organisations across the city such as property agents, recruitment consultants, public agencies and universities to deliver a comprehensive package of support. The European Regional Development Fund, through its Investing in Greater Birmingham project, will support the above services free of charge to companies eligible for the support as outlined by ERDF.

Business Birmingham was named as the best regional Investment Promotion Agency in Western Europe for 2017 and 2018 by Site Selection magazine. For more information, visit Business Birmingham’s website.
