The open invite event aims to allow visitors to come and learn more about the broad range of business services offered at the park.
Since it was established in October 1995, the Science Park has become the home for around 100 businesses working in a broad range of technological and creative disciplines including software development, environmental management, engineering design and consultancy, photography and videography, graphics, website design, water technology, DNA analysis, training and education, healthcare and business support services.
The Science Park consists of the Technology Centre, Creative Industries Centre and Development Centre and the most recent addition, The Science Centre, providing 12,000 square metres of lettable space.
The expo is taking place in the park’s Technology Centre on Wednesday October 24 2018. It will start with a networking breakfast and visitors will have a chance to speak to a range of tenant businesses.
Nigel Babb, University of Wolverhampton Science Park Director, said:
“We have a fabulous community at the Science Park and we’re really looking forward to everyone coming together to showcase the wide variety of services both the Science Park and its tenants can offer.
“This is a great opportunity for people to find out more about the Science Park and some of the individual tenants which operate from it as well as a chance to network and take in some useful workshops.
“Following that we’ll have the official launch of the Science Centre which we’ll celebrate with our tenants and give people the chance to look around it themselves.”
There will also be representation from the University’s business support services including conferencing & meeting facilities, business support and funding, Apprenticeship Hub, Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills, graduate recruitment services, start-up schemes and the Black Country Growth Hub.
Workshops will be running between 9am and 10am on topics including how to film videos for your business on your phone, how tenders can help your business and the challenges of cyber security threats. Places are limited so delegates will have to book in advance.
Following the expo there will be an official launch of the new Science Centre at 10:45am.
The running order for the day will be:
8:30-10:30 Registration & Expo – Networking Breakfast served throughout.
09:00-10:00 Choice of Workshops (pre-booking required)
