• Funds worth £7 million on offer to support skills and learning development across the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership area

  • Roadshow to take place in Birmingham to inform attendees about the opportunity to access the European Social Fund (ESF) programme

Organisations and across the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP area are being advised to take advantage of a new ESF call totalling £7 million to enhance equal access to lifelong learning before the deadline for applications closes on 1st November.

The European Social Fund programme – which focuses on improving employment and training opportunities for the local population – has launched this funding package. 

Funding is available to run a project to support employed people to progress at work through achieving higher level skills, to drive growth in their organisation by improving productivity. Full details are available on the Direct.gov website here.

The GBSLEP is hosting a roadshow event for those interested in learning more about this ESF opportunity. The event will take place between 10.00-11.00 on Monday 17th September in Committee Room 2 at Birmingham City Council (Victoria Square).
