Councillor Brigid Jones, Deputy Leader of Birmingham City Council, said:

“Once Upon A Time In Birmingham: Women Who Dared To Dream is a book that spans generations, showcasing the determination of city women who often had major hurdles to overcome. We hope the people of Birmingham will join us embracing these 30 stories – and take inspiration from the passionate, fearless women who feature in its pages.”

Proceeds from book will go into a fund to help the city’s young women pursue their own dreams – more details will be announced next year.
