Sigma Connected, which is headquartered in Birmingham city centre, provides customer contact services for the finance, utilities, telecommunications and retail sectors, has celebrated its 10-year partnership with credit card and personal finance specialist Vanquis, part of the Provident Financial Group, by taking on a new and additional contract to provide customer services to oversee the firm’s credit card offering.

The extended contract will be operated on an off-shore basis by Sigma with its team in Cape Town handling the new work. It has brought an additional 30 new jobs which will support the Vanquis in-house team and adds to the 120 people successfully actioning early collections on behalf of Vanquis.

Sigma began working with Vanquis in 2011 as one of the company’s first major link ups soon after it was founded. Over the past 10 years Sigma has provided UK-based Vanquis with collections services from its operation in South Africa.

Gary Gilburd, CEO of Sigma Connected said:

“This is a really important milestone for our decade-long partnership with Vanquis. Not only has the last ten years been a big success, but we have grown together and both businesses have thrived since 2011.

“It’s another proud moment for us to be taking on even more work from Vanquis and we know our first-class offshoring capability will continue to be a perfect match for them and their clients.

“We have put together a small but extremely professional team who will operate things on the customer service side and they have already hit the ground running alongside the existing team.”

Deborah Green, Customer Operations Director at Vanquis added:

“It is wonderful to be celebrating ten years working alongside Sigma Connected and to mark that milestone by working together on another new contract.

“They are the perfect extension of our team and are trusted to give an exceptional service to our growing number of customers.”
