The café service space will be on level one of the new city centre campus, which will be based at One Centenary Way in the Paradise development at the heart of Birmingham’s busy city centre. The campus itself, which is Arup’s third largest international office, is set to move from Solihull into the city centre this summer.

The café with barista service will be expected to serve Arup staff, clients, and VIPs with an array of sustainable, inclusive, and fair and ethically sourced refreshment and catering options. Additional catering opportunities may exist with events Arup hosts on site and in conjunction with current plans to work with local community groups and not-for-profits as part of the wider social values and community engagement strategy.

The new campus will serve as an international growth hub for inward investment both within the city and region as well as for the company. Arup work with numerous high-profile clients and stakeholders both local and global, across more than 20 different markets. This provides an incredible opportunity for a local social enterprise to reach a global audience and work alongside Arup to achieve greater social value and impact.

While the Social Enterprise Café will not be open to the public, this service would be expected to reinvest profits into the community and demonstrate a wider social purpose. The café will also work in tandem with Arup’s wider social values and community engagement strategy for the Birmingham Office. This strategy includes a dedicated space on the ground floor which will be open to the public during office hours and serve as a platform to engage communities and not-for-profit organisations locally.

Deadline for submission is Friday 3rd February at 5:30pm. For further information and to express interest please contact Steph.Murphy@arup.com
